Press Trust of India New Delhi
Amid profit-booking by speculators at prevailing levels and sluggish spot demand, mentha oil futures drifted by 1.35 per cent to Rs 931 per kg today.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in August eased by Rs 12.80, or 1.35 per cent, to Rs 931 per kg in a business turnover of 565 lots.

Likewise, the oil for delivery in July traded lower by Rs 12, or 1.28 per cent, to Rs 919 per kg in 144 lots.

The fall in mentha futures was mostly due to profit-booking by speculators after recent gains and sluggish demand at spot markets from pharmaceutical units, analysts said.
