Mentha oil prices fell further by 3.27 per cent to Rs 946.50 per kg in futures trade today largely due to fall in demand at spot markets from consuming industries.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in May month moved down by Rs 32 or 3.27 per cent to Rs 946.50 per kg in business turnover of 1,946 lots.
The oil for delivery in June contracts declined by Rs 30.90, or 3.12 per cent to Rs 959.00 per kg in 566 lots.
Analysts said offloading of positions by speculators due to fall in demand from consuming industries against adequate stocks position mainly kept pressure on mentha oil prices at futures trade.
