Mentha oil falls by 0.7% to profit-booking

Amid profit-booking at prevailing levels and fall in demand, mentha oil prices traded lower by 0.75% to Rs 976.60 per kg in futures trading today.

At Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in June eased Rs 7.40, or 0.75%, to Rs 976.60 per kg in a business turnover of 356 lots.

Likewise, the oil for delivery in July contracts traded lower Rs 7, or 0.70%, to Rs 992.50 per kg in 84 lots.

Marketmen attributed the fall to profit-booking by speculators at the existing levels and decline in demand from consuming industries in the spot market.
