Around 220 amateur golfers will vie for top honours in the Kolkata leg of the Mercedes Trophy at the RCGC from February 19-20 in the race for the National Finals.
The winners from the qualifying rounds being held in 14 cities -- Bengaluru, Coimbatore, Pune, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Jamshedpur, Jaipur, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Kolkata, Delhi and Lucknow -- will compete at the Oxford Golf and Country Club in Pune from March 25-27.
The three winners at the National Finals will participate in the Mercedes Trophy World Finals - at Stuttgart, Germany in September against winners from all over the world.
The tournament is billed as one of the world's largest amateur golf tournaments involving over 60,000 golfers in 60 countries worldwide.
In India, it's in its 15th edition.
