Metro suicide

An unidentified man jumped in

front of a moving metro train this evening at Sovabazar underground station and died on the spot.

The man, aged around 45 years, jumped in front of a train coming from Dum Dum to Kavi Subhas station at 6.30 pm, Metro Railway sources said.

As a result, truncated service was run between Central station and Kavi Subhas till 7 pm, following which normal services were restored, the sources said.
