Mid-day meal tragedy: Meira Kumar calls for 'in-depth' inquiry

Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar today condoled the death of school children after having mid-day meal in Bihar's Saran district and called for an inquiry into the matter.

In a statement issued here, Kumar condoled the tragic death of the children.

She called for an "in-depth inquiry" into the matter and strict action against those found guilty.

Twenty-two children died and 25 others are undergoing treatment after consuming mid-day meal served at Gandaman primary school at Mashrakh block in Saran district yesterday.
