Militant arrested in Kupwara

Mohammad Jamal Bhat, a resident of Sodal village, was arrested by a police party during checking of vehicles at Chogul near Handwara, 80 kms from here, he said.

Bhat, who is associated with the al-Barq outfit, had received arms training across the border, he said.

Bhat's arrest comes barely a few days after police arrested three Pakistan-trained militants from Handwara.
