Militants fire at vehicle carrying two police officials

Militants tonight fired at a vehicle carrying two senior police officials in south Kashmir's Shopian district but no one was hurt.

A Deputy Superintendent of Police and a Station House Officer (SHO) were travelling in the vehicle when it was targeted, a police official said.

He said the police officials were returning to Shopian town from Behibugh when the car was attacked by the militants who fled later.

No one was hurt in the firing, the official said.
