Militants hurl grenade at panchayat pradhan's house

Militants hurled a grenade at the house of Wangbal village gram panchayat pradhan in interior Thoubal district of Manipur but it failed to explode, police said today.

The explosive material which was found yesterday was defused by bomb experts.

The police said monetary demand from the pradhan, Huidrom Chandrakala Devi, could be the reason behind the incident.
