Militants lob grenade at police post in J-K

Unidentified militants lobbed a grenade at a police post in south Kashmir's Anantnag district this evening, police said.

A grenade was lobbed at Sherbagh police post in the Anantnag district, 55 kms from here, at around 8:50 pm, a police spokesman said.

The grenade fell short of the target and exploded in an open area with a big bang, he said, adding there were no reports of any casualties so far in the blast.

No militant outfit has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.

A manhunt has been launched to nab the militants, the spokesman said.
