Minor boy, 2 others held on gangrape charge

Three persons, including a juvenile, were arrested today on the charge of gangraping a minor girl in Bisra area of Sundargarh district, police said.

The girl, a resident of Sarubahal village, was returning home after meeting a friend on June 26 evening when the three waylaid her and raped her in a secluded forested area.

She, along with her father, reported the incident at Bisra police station the same night and the police arrested Sanjit Oram (20), Gopal Kerketta (26) and the minor boy.

The minor boy would be produced in the juvenile court and the other two would be taken to Sundargarh district judge court tomorrow.
