Minor boy kills self in Telangana

A seventh grade student allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan in his hostel room in Konarapet mandal in the district, police said today.

The incident took place yesterday. The body of Bhukya Swamy (11), a student of tribal welfare school, was found hanging from a ceiling fan inside his hostel room, a police official said.

The reasons for Swamy taking the extreme step are not known and a case under relevant sections of IPC has been registered, police said, adding, investigations are underway.
