Minor gang-raped at gunpoint

A 15-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped at gunpoint by two youths in Masuri area here, police said today.

"Two youths, Shamshad and Kasim, broke into the girl's house late last night while she was sleeping. They took her to a deserted place nearby after gagging her mouth and then took turns to rape her at gunpoint," a senior police officer said.

The youths, who lived in the same colony, even threatened her with dire consequence if she revealed her ordeal to anyone, the officer said.

The girl told her parents about the incident this morning.

"A case has been registered against the duo at Masuri police station and we are investigating the case," the officer said, adding "they are trying to arrest the accused soon".
