A minor girl was allegedly gang raped in Latehar district and three accused were arrested today
One of the accused allegedly took the student of class-IX to a forest area in Chandwan police station after luring her with a gift after school on Saturday, Superintendent of Police Kranti Kumar told reporters.
Two others joined him before the trio gang raped her, he said, adding AN FIR was lodged after the girl narrated her plight when she came across a police patrol near the area that day.
On the basis of her identification, Mohammad Shahzad, Guddu Ansari and Shahid were arrested during the day, he said, adding the victim was sent for medical examination.
