Minor girl molested near school premises

A minor girl student of allegedly molested today near her school premises in Raghudeipur village in Odisha's Kendrapara district, police said.

The girl, a student of class 10, was on her way to school to attend a Children's Day function when the accused tried to outrage her modesty, a police official said.

The accused, Rashmi Ranjan Sahu (26), has been arrested, he said.

Sahu, who confessed to the crime, has been booked under various sections of the IPC, the official added.
