A 15 year-old girl was allegedly raped by her brother's friend here after offering her a drink laced with sedatives, police said today.
The victim and her brother were standing outside their father's shop in Bhabiana village on Tuesday when Paramjit came on a motorcycle and took them to his house, they said.
Police said the victim and her brother were given drinks which were laced with sedatives and both fell unconscious. The accused then raped her.
When the girl and her brother regained consciousness, they reached home and narrated the incident to their parents.
Police said Paramjit Singh, resident of Domeli village, was booked under sections 363 (kidnapping), 376 (rape), 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC yesterday.
Phagwara DSP Manpreet Singh Dhillon said efforts were on to arrest the accused.
