Body of a seven-year-old boy, who was reportedly missing since last Monday, was fished out from a well at Bhaliagida in Odisha's Ganjam district today.
Police rushed to the spot upon receiving information from the villagers that a body was floating in the well.
With the help of fire brigade personnel, the body was retrieved and sent for post-mortem, police said.
The deceased, identified as Uttam Kumar, was studying in Class II in Chennai where his parents work. The family members had come to their native village here to attend a marriage ceremony, police said.
