A 17-year-old girl, who went missing a day back, allegedly committed suicide by jumping in front of a train near Rashid Ghar village, police said today.
Her body was found today near railway tracks under Tanahaa police station in Shamli district, they added.
The girl has been identified as Ashu. She was missing since yesterday. The reason behind her death is yet to be ascertain although prima facie it seems she committed suicide, police further said.
The body has been sent for postmortem and investigation is underway, they said.
