MLC among others to join BJP in UP

A member of Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council was among many others who joined BJP today, an official spokesman said here.

"Inspired with the ideology of the party, MLC Hargovind Singh, Damyanti Kishore, wife of Rajya Sabha member Jugal Kishore, her son and BSP candidate Saurabh Singh," BJP spokesman Vijay Bahadur Pathak said.

Hargovind Singh was a BSP leader before he joined the BJP.

Pathak said that the fresh incumbents were welcomed by state president Laxmikant Bajpai.

Bajpai expressed hope that they would strengthen the party in their respective areas.
