'Mock, Stalk & Quarrel', a collection of 29 tales each representing various facets of contemporary India and it's people as seen by the respective writer, has been launched here.

Indrani Ganguly, a well-known manuscript editor and Resident Editor cum Content Manager at Readomania.Com, the publisher of the anthology, said 'Mock, Stalk & Quarrel' contains stories of professionals from different fields and all the stories have satirical elements which is the binding factor.

The tales ranging from indulgent, tolerant, amusing and witty were selected from a nationwide contest.

"Satire is an enjoyable compensation for being forced to think and Mock, Stalk & Quarrel has no vitrolic content. We had hundreds of entries from which we chose some," Indrani said.

"We will shortly be moving the Limca Book of Records authorities to be registered as the first satirical anthology of English stories in the country which we are already," Indrani said at the launch of the book on Friday evening.

The contributing authors in this book included - PR professioal of a state-run steel plant Ramendra Kumar, former journalist of a national daily and writer Amrita Mukherjee, Major Akhill Pratap, Tanushree Ghosh Dhall and Aparajita Dutta and journalist-art curator-writer Kounteya Sinha among others who consist some of whom first timers and very young.

"There is no attempt to sermonise the reader as satire goes against any such practice," they said.
