In a bid to adjust the mad rush of tourists during the ensuing festive season, 100 tents with modern amenities will be put up at the picturesque hill station Pachmarhi in Madhya Pradesh's Hoshangabad district.
"On an experimental basis, we are going to raise the village of tents at Pachmarhi for 10 days from December 23," Madhya Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation General Manager M N Jamali said.
"Tourists nowadays want to experience new thrills during their stay, so we are for the first time putting up tents to give a nature's feel at Pachmarhi. Each tent will accommodate two persons," he added.

Jamali said 'Pachmarhi Festival' will also being from December 25- December 30 and to add colour to the festival, famous artists were being roped in to perform at the event.
He recalled that similar tents were put up during a tribal festival at MP's Alirajpur district in March this year.
Meanwhile, according to reports, hotels, resorts and guest houses at Pachmarhi - popularly known as Satpura ki Rani (queen of Satpura) have already been booked by the tourists scheduled to flock at the hill station at the year-end.
