Moong dal prices jump at wholesale foodgrains market

Price of moong dal and thoor dal increased while those of urad dal and wheat decreased at the wholesale foodgrains market here today.

Moong dal prices increased sharply by Rs 500 per quintal to Rs 10,500 from its closing rates of Rs 10,000.

Thoor dal was up by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 9,000 from its previous rate of Rs 8,900.

Urad dal fell by Rs 200 per quintal to Rs 8,200 from Rs 8,400.

Wheat declined by Rs 50 per quintal to Rs 2,750 from its last closing of Rs 2,800.

Gram dal, sugar, maida (90 kg) and sooji (90 kg) prices ruled steady.
 

Following are the wholesale rates of various agri-commodities (in Rs per quintal, except where stated otherwise): Thoor Dal Rs 9,000 Urad Dal Rs 8,200 Moong Dal Rs 10,500, Gram Dal Rs 4,400, Sugar Rs 3,000, Wheat Rs 2,750, Maida (90 kg) Rs 2,500 and Sooji (90 kg) Rs 3,000.
