Most places in UP witness normal temps

Most parts of Uttar Pradesh today witnessed normal temperatures despite the continued dry spell in the state.

The MeT office here said day temperatures fell in Gorakhpur, Allahabad and Kanpur divisions, and changed little in the remaining divisions of the state.

They were below the normal in Gorakhpur, Faizabad and Kanpur divisions, and normal elsewhere, it said, adding Hamirpur was the hottest place in the state with a maximum temperature of 40.2 degree Celsius.

Bareilly with 15.1 degrees Celsius was the coolest place in the state, the MeT said.

It has forecast that weather was likely to remain dry.
