Mother-son die in road mishap

A woman and her son were killed while ten other passengers sustained injuries when a vehicle in which they travelling collided head on with a mini-truck coming from opposite direction near the Lohara village on Moga Amritsar road on Wednesday night.

The deceased were identified as Baljit Kaur (40) and her son Sandeep Singh (10), police said here.

The ten other passengers who sustained injuries were admitted to a local hospital.

Passengers of Chatehre village in Firozepur district were returning after paying obeisance at Dera Baba Ram Singh Daudhar in Moga subdivision, police said.
