Police today claimed to have busted a gang involved in the theft of two-wheelers and arrested its five members while recovering 27 motorcycles from their possession.
A police team succeeded in busting the gang and arrested Manga Singh, resident of Nanga village (Khamano), Sandeep Singh, resident of Badali village (Mohali), Tarsem Singh (Morinda), Surmukh Singh (Kharar) and Ankush Kumar, resident of Sirhind, SSP Gurpreet Singh Bhullar said.
He said during preliminary investigation the accused told the police that they were active in Mohali, Kharar, Fatehgarh Sahib, Khanna and Ropar areas and used to steal motorcycles.
