Twenty constables of Special Armed Force (SAF) were injured today when the truck carrying them for deployment in Lok Sabha poll duty overturned near Guwai village under Amarpatan assembly area here, police said.
The constables were on their way to Ram Nagar Police Station in Satna constituency for the upcoming elections, they said.
The injured constables have been admitted to Satna and Rewa district hospitals.
Polling for 29 Lok Sabha seats in Madhya Pradesh will be held in three phases on April 10 (9 seats), 17 and 24 (10 seats each).
Satna, Rewa, Sidhi, Shahdol (ST), Jabalpur, Mandla (ST), Balaghat, Chhindwara and Hoshangabad are going to polls in the first phase.
