Refined soya oil prices fell by 0.25 per cent to Rs 629.10 per 10 kg in futures trade today as traders cut down their positions amid easing demand in the spot markets against adequate stocks position.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in June declined by Rs 1.60, or 0.25 per cent to Rs 629.10 per 10 kg with an open interest of 13,860 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in July contracts traded lower by Rs 1.35, or 0.21 per cent to Rs 635.30 per 10 kg in 51,600 lots.
Analysts said offloading of positions by participants owing to fall in demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position on increased supplies from producing regions mainly weighed on refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
