Weather mainly remained dry in Uttar Pradesh with Muzzafarnagar recorded as the coldest part in the state with minimum temperature at 1.4 degrees Celsius.
According to a Met report, moderate fog occurred at few places over eastern part of the state and shallow fog at isolated places over western Uttar Pradesh.
The night temperatures fell appreciably in Agra division and changed little in the remaining divisions of the state, it said.
They were appreciably below normal in Lucknow, Agra, and Meerut divisions and below normal in Bareilly division, it added.
Weather would be dry with fog in the morning at few places over eastern Uttar Pradesh.
MeT department has predicted rain or thundershowers at few places over the state on the weekend.
