My wife has given up more that I have: Chris Hemsworth

Star Chris Hemsworth has said that it is his model wife Elsa Pataky who has had to sacrifice more in their marriage.

The 34-year-old actor said juggling busy Hollywood career and personal life simultaneously has often put a strain on his relationship with his better half, reported GQ Australia magazine.

"My wife and I fell in love, had kids, didn't really see each other for a few years, then fell back in love. In terms of work, (Elsa has) certainly given up more than I have.

"She'd like me to step back and be at home with the kids more, and of course, I want that too. But I feel like I'm at this crucial point in my career - I've just got to set up for longevity or I'll slip off," Hemsworth said.
 

The "Thor" actor married Pataky in 2010.

The couple has three children - five-year-old daughter India, and three-year-old twin sons Sasha and Tristan together.
