Mystery shrouds death of boy

A class IX boy student was found dead under mysterious circumstances in his native village in the district today with his father raising suspicion that he could have been murdered.

15-year old Anbarasan, son of a farm labourer of Santhapadugai village, was missing since last evening after he told his parents that he was going to a temple festival.

The boy's body, with swelling in the throat area, was found near a transformer in the village this morning.

Father of the boy Mariappan lodged a complaint with police raising suspicion that his son might have been killed.

Police said investigations were on.
