Narcotics smuggler held with over 700 g cannabis

A narcotics smuggler has been arrested and 710 g of cannabis recovered from him in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said today.

Acting on specific information, police intercepted Partap Singh at Kadwal in Katra belt of Reasi district around 7 PM yesterday, Station House Officer (Katra) Sanjeev Gupta said.

During checking, 710 g of cannabis were recovered from him, Gupta said, adding, the smuggler was taken into custody and case under NDPS Act was registered against him.

Further investigation in the case is going on, he said.
