Natco Pharma has launched generic Tamiflu capsules, used for treatment of influenza, in the American market after the final nod from the US health regulator in August this year.

The company's capsules are generic versions of Roche's Tamiflu drug and are in the strengths of 30 mg, 45 mg and 75 mg.

According to IMS Health, Tamiflu oral capsules had US sales of approximately USD 403 million for the 12 months ended December 2015.

In August this year, Natco Pharma received final approval for its abbreviated new drug application (ANDA) for generic versions of Tamiflu oral capsules from the US Food and Drug Administration.

The stock was trading 0.29 per cent higher at Rs 600.30.
