The Department of Management Studies of Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College, here is organizing a National Seminar on 'Business Analytics for Decision Making' on March 13 .
The objective of the seminar was to impart knowledge on Business analytics tools and to impart managerial perspective in applying business analytics in various business domains for gaining customer insights towards building a competitive strategy, a college release said today.
It was also aimed at providing inputs on how real-world data was structured for the purpose of applying various data analytics and how business models are built, it said.
Quoting a Mckinsey report, it said business Analytics has become a trendsetter in today's world and the demand for business analytics specialists was expected to reach 1.5 million in 2018.
Experts from various top companies like Robert Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions, Bangalore, Cognizant Technology Solutions, Center for Ethics and Corporate Governance, Loyola Institute of Business Administration (LIBA), Chennai and Pricol Limited, here would address plenary sessions, the release said.
