Naxal arrested in Chhattisgarh

A Naxal, carrying a reward of Rs 2,000 on his head, was arrested in Dhamtari district of Chhattisgarh, police said today.
Lakhan Lal (38) was arrested by a joint team of security forces at Chameda village under Boarai police station area on the Chhattisgarh-Odisha border, Superintendent of Police Akbar Ram Korram told PTI over phone.
Lakhan was involved in an incident in Sihawa region in 2009 where a rest house was vandalised and set on fire, the SP said.
After getting a tip-off about his presence, a joint contingent of district police and CRPF rushed to the area and nabbed him.
