Altogether 230 cadets were today inducted into National Cadet Corps (NCC) as Associate Officers after completion of their training.
They passed out from the prestigious NCC Officers Training Academy at Kamptee near here at an impressive parade.
The passing out parade was reviewed by Maj Gen N S Rao, Commandant of the academy. The parade was commanded by Lt Kamal Sunder Raj S.

Officer-Cadets V Lakshmanamoorthy and Naveen Kumar Kaushal won the Director General's Baton for standing first in order of merit amongst the senior division and junior division, respectively. The Director General's Banner for Inter-Coy Championship was won by Shivaji Company.
The Associate NCC Officers performed an impressive march past to the tune of 'Sare Jahan Se Accha', a release from Defence PRO said.
Addressing the officers, Maj Gen Rao asked them to prepare NCC cadets to take their rightful place as leaders and patriotic citizens in all walks of life including the armed forces.
The cadets went through a rigorous training programme of three months, which included yoga and drill. Resource persons from Rajiv Gandhi National Institute for Youth Development conducted personality development and life skills programmes for them, the release added.
