Nepal PM praises varsity for waiving off students' fess

Nepal Prime Minister Sushil Koirala has appreciated gesture of a city-based private-university, which has decided to provide free education to Nepalese students in view of the devastating earthquake that jolted the nation.

Parul University had decided to provide free education to 100 Nepalese students.

Recently in a letter to Jayesh Patel, chairman of Parul Arogya Seva Mandal, which runs the varsity, Koirala stated, "I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt of Your Excellency's (Patel's) letter of 27 April 2015 expressing condolences, sympathy, support and solidarity to the people and Government of Nepal in the immediate aftermath of the devastating earthquake of April 25"
 

"I, on behalf of the people and Government of Nepal, sincerely appreciate and thank you very much for your offer of free education with 100 per cent tuition fee waiver to earthquake affected 100 students of Nepal," Koirala said in the letter.

Over 8,000 people were killed as a devastating earthquake jolted Nepal in April this year.
