A Nepali national was arrested by Shashastra Seema Bal with contraband worth Rs 50 lakh from Sonauli area on Indo-Nepal border, a senior official said here today.
The accused, identified as Arjun Gupta from Nepal, was arrested yesterday by SSB during a routine checking after five kg of charas worth Rs 50 lakh was seized from his possession, SSB deputy commandant Manish Jaiswal said.
He has been booked under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, Jaiswal added.
