A new National Education Policy (NEP) aiming to link education with industry is on the anvil, HRD Minister Smriti Irani said today.
Addressing students at a National Institute of Technology (NIT) function here, she said experts were working on the new policy and giving final touches to it.
"There is a huge gap between the educational system and the industry. As a result, the industry is not getting suitable and desirable expertise and this gap needs to be filled," Irani said.
