Nickel prices were trading lower by 0.46 per cent to Rs 755 per kg in futures trade today amid profit-booking by speculators and easing demand at the domestic spot market.

Besides, ending October monthly expiry too weighed on prices.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, nickel for delivery in November fell by Rs 3.50, or 0.46 per cent, to Rs 755 per kg in a business turnover of 277 lots.

Likewise, the metal for delivery this month was trading lower by Rs 3.10, or 0.41 per cent, to Rs 751.10 per kg in 407 lots.

Marketmen said profit-booking by participants at prevailing levels amid fall in demand from alloy-makers at the spot market, mainly influenced nickel prices at futures trade.
