Nickel prices gained further in an otherwise listless non-ferrous metal market here today on persistent buying by stockists amidst good demand from alloy industries.
On the global front, the industrial metal, copper hit the highest in early trade at LME, as a weaker dollar fuelled chart-based buying, before giving back most of its gains after a weak reading on factory health in top consumer China.
Nickel climbed by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,030 from Monday's closing level of Rs 1,025.
However, copper sheet cutting softened by a Re per kg to Rs 427.
