Nigerian arrested for drug possession in Goa
A Nigerian national was arrested in the beach village of Calangute in Goa Thursday for allegedly possessing drugs.
He was identified as Basan Lama.
Lama was arrested from Umtavado area and narcotics worth Rs 3,800 were seized from his possession, said inspector Nolasco Raposo.
A case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act was registered against him, the officer said.
He was remanded in judicial custody for 14 days by a local court.
