Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today mourned the passing away of veteran actor Om Puri and said that his death had caused an irreparable loss to the film industry.
"Puri was a wonderful actor...He won the national film award twice for being the best actor and also feted with Padma Shri award in 1990 by the Government of India for his contributions to the film industry," he said in a message.
The veteral actor was also very popular with fans, Kumar said, adding that he prayed for the departed actor's soul to rest in peace.
Puri (66) passed away at his residence in Mumbai earlier today following a massive heart attack.
