Nitish pays courtesy visit to outgoing Bihar Governor

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday paid a courtesy visit to outgoing Governor Lalji Tandon, who is tipped to take up the gubernatorial assignment in Madhya Pradesh.
According to an official release, Kumar drove down to the Raj Bhavan and expressed his gratitude towards Tandon "for his guidance in improving the higher education scenario in the state".
The Governor of Bihar also happens to be the chancellor of all the state universities.
A veteran BJP leader from neighbouring Uttar Pradesh and known to be close to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Tandon became the governor in August last year.
He will be succeeded by Fagu Chauhan, another BJP veteran from UP.
