Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi today said there was no funds crunch in the state and the government employees were getting their salaries regularly.
"There is absolutely no funds crunch for the government to pay regular salaries to its employees and there was no need for the employees to worry," the Chief Minister said in a statement here.
Development projects will be going on in full swing and the projects already declared will be on track with the people continuing to derive benefits out of them, he said.

The Chief Minister, however, maintained that the withdrawal of Special Category Status has had a dismal effect on the state's development as the government was finding it difficult to launch new schemes.
"Suspension of North East Industrial and Investment Promotion Policy has compounded the situation as private and institutional investments are drying up thereby serving a severe blow to the development of the state," Gogoi added.
However, the state government will continue its fight to press for its demands for the restoration of Special Category Status and reintroduction of NEIIPP.
