Nominations of 74 candidates were rejected while 867 were found valid after scrutiny for the 11 Lok Sabha and 77 Assembly seats going to polls in the second phase in Odisha on April 17.
Of the 105 candidates who filed nominations for 11 Lok Sabha constituencies, 101 nominations were found valid. One nomination each from Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Cuttack and Bhubaneswar Lok Sabha seats were rejected, official sources said.
The papers of 13 candidates in the Dhenkanal LS seat and seven nominations each in Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur and Puri were found valid.
While 836 candidates filed nominations for the 77 Assembly seats, 70 nominations were rejected. The maximum of 12 nominations were rejected in the Moroda assembly seat in Mayurbhanj district, they said.
