Norwegian IT company Crayon enters India with Chennai firm buy

Crayon Group, a Norwegian company specialising in information technology solutions, today said it has acquired an 80 per cent stake in a Chennai-based cloud advisory firm, Kryptos Network, marking its entry in India.

Financial details of the buyout were not disclosed.

Crayon is spread over 23 countries worldwide and enters India with this acquisition, a company release said here.

The Norwegian firm said it plans to use Kryptos' presence for its back-office operations.

Kryptos was started in 2007 and its services cater to datacentres, telecom companies, hosters and system integrators, among others.

Post-acquisition, Crayon plans to expand Kryptos' presence to seven from the current four places, and also increase the number of consultants to 100, the release said.
 

The IT firm did not specify the number of consultants it currently employs.
