NSCN-IM cadre killed in encounter

An NSCN-IM cadre was killed in an encounter with security forces in Kepailo area in Assam's Dima Hasao district today.

A joint team of police and Assam Rifles had carried out an operation in the Kepailo area and busted a hideout of the NSCN-IM, Assam Rifles sources said.

In the ensuing encounter the cadre was killed and arms and ammunition were recovered from the site, the sources added.
