An occultist and his two disciples allegedly decamped with gold and silver ornaments after deceiving a youth at Sekhwan village, police said today.
Satnam Singh, a resident of Sekhwan village near here, in his complaint said that he contacted occultist Jamal Guru after seeing an advertisement in a vernacular daily as he wanted to go abroad, police said.
The 'tantrik' assured Satnam he need not go abroad as he would find treasure in his own home and asked him to bring half kg gold and equal weight of silver ornaments, they said.

Satnam alleged that he brought the ornaments last week and those were buried by Jamal and his disciple in their room, police said, adding Jamal promised that the amount would increase.
Jamal and his two disciples today told Satnam that he would get the treasure and fled after that, following which Satnam found the original ornaments missing, police said, quoting the complaint.
A case of cheating has been registered in this connection, they said.
