One arrested for allegedly 'raping' woman

A man was arrested for allegedly raping a woman at Kahalwan village in this district, the police said.

The husband of the victim in a complaint lodged with the police claimed that Surjit Singh, allegedly raped his wife when she was alone at home on Friday night, a police official said.

They accused had also threatened her of dire consequences, he said. The accused was arrested today, the police official added.
