One person was arrested along with a cache of ammunition in connection with the killing of irrigation department executive engineer Rajib Kumar Pathak, police said today.
Ibuing Kuame was apprehended last night here under Haflong police station in connection with the killing of Pathak.
The police and army acting on a tip off conducted a raid and nabbed Kuame.
Security agencies also recovered one mobile set, a SIM card, one AK 47 magazine with 20 bullets, three fuse wires, three detonators and 800 grams of RDX, officials said.
On November 22, Pathak was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in the compound of his office after calling him out of his chamber.
